about

This was the first song I wrote in 10 years with my own voice in mind. It holds a special meaning for me as a result...

lyrics

What to pick out and say,
Now I've got every word I ever heard to settle on?
Whoever wrote the dictionary,
Couldn't put the letters in the order that you come from,
Could find nothing better than second rate letters that spell the absurd,

So while I'm defining,
You're describing,
It's so surprising that you keep on shining,

Oh you got me lost for words so I sway,
With you it's what you don't say,
Oh and you have got me lost for words even I didn't see it coming,
Got me lost for words didn't you?
I didn't see it coming got me lost for words and you.

So I pick out a turn of phrase,
And you wrap a chapter round our laughter til the book's written,
Stranger than fiction?
I've been debating if we're punctuating a modern fairy tale,
Been contemplating,
Been pinching and waiting,
I might have misheard...

That if you're defining,
Then I'm describing that I find surprising that I keep on shining,

What to pick out and say?
Now I've got every word I ever heard to settle on...
